NAACP Branch #5117-B mourns the passing of Harold Weeks, past president of the Collier County Branch.
January 2, 1937-December 11, 2025.

A message to our community…
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Mr. Harold Weeks on Friday, December 11, 2025, just six days before he and his beloved wife would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary together.
Our hearts are heavy as we reflect on the life of a man whose presence, wisdom, and unwavering commitment strengthen the very fabric of Collier County. Mr. Weeks devoted his golden years to serving this community with humility, grace, and steadfast purpose. His leadership was never loud but always felt. His guidance shaped programs, uplifted families, and opened doors of opportunity for our youth. He believed deeply in the power of education, mentorship, and collective responsibility, and he lived those values every day.
We are grateful for the countless ways he enriched our community. His contributions will continue to echo through the lives that he touched, the young people he inspired, and the example he set for all of us who strive to serve with integrity.
As we mourn his passing, we also honor the love and devotion he shared with his two sons and family. His general understanding, his steady support, and his enduring faith in them will continue to carry them through these difficult times. We asked our members and friends to keep the Weeks family in their thoughts and hearts as they navigate this profound loss. The family has requested privacy during these difficult hours and days. We are praying for all of them: his wife, Carol; his two sons; his five grandchildren; and his in-laws.
On behalf of the NAACP Collier County branch, we extend our deepest condolences and our enduring gratitude. Thank you, Mr. Weeks for your service, your leadership and your legacy. The community will not forget you.
A Celebration of Life and Story Sharing will be held at Hodges Funeral Home at Naples Memorial Gardens, 525 111th Ave N, Naples, Florida 34108. The event is scheduled for Friday, December 19, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

With Respect and Remembrance,
